  1. besides all of the other factors such as weight, tire tread, composition, condition, road surface type and condition, brake condition, weather, etc....

it takes a rested, alert driver in reasonable condition approx. 1-1/2 seconds to get the message from their brain to their foot, and their foot onto the brake pedal. With all conditions being ideal, you are looking at around 200 feet. (remember 300 feet is a football field from goal to goal) below is a link to a really good site on the subject.

  2. the avarage is 100 feet at 55

  3. 68m or 210 feet    under ideal conditions

Weather and road conditions, as well as type of vehicle and weight of load being carried can also affect stopping distance.

  5. 210 feet according to the manual.

A lot less if you hit a brick wall.

  6. How much does the car weigh? What size are the tires? What types of brakes? What surface conditions? On level ground, or not? Are the brakes in good condition?

  7. Reaction distance........61 feet

    Stopping distance...... 155 feet

    Total distance..............216 feet

  8. some cars as low as 150 ft

my old bronco is more like 400 feet

  9. its depends on car. if the car has ABS or not. And EBD.

and the weight of the car, no. of people, and cargo.
