and 3 magazines for $1.45, and June bought 2 books and 5 magazines for $1.25. What was the price of a book and what was the price of a magazine?

well i cant do math right now its too late...but i do know right away just from reading this that the books are more expensive than the magazines.  both girls bought 7 books, one girl bought more books and the total price was more expensive...therefore, the books cost more.

you need to figure out the rest though :)
