At John 3:16 Jesus said that he was the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, what did he mean by that statement?

If Jesus was the ONLY Begotten Son, then who are the others? & what does BEGOTTEN REALLY MEAN?

God made man by molding of clay, and man was given the gift of procreation, however, in Jesus' case, because God Himself effected the immaculate conception, hence Jesus' is the direct and only begotten son of God.
