  1. No not at all.  MAc's can get viruses just like any other computer.  The only difference is most people that make virus's make them for windows os's and not for Mac or Linux.  But it is still possible and much easier for a mac to get a virus than windows because of all the programing faults in the Safari Browser.

  2. I'm not total sure, but I think they can have viruses since more and more website have viruses attached to them.

  3. most likely not.I really dont think its possible.

  4. I've been using them since 1982 (pre internet) and have never had a virus.

Is it 100%, nothing is but I've never had one to speak of.

  5. Absolutely FALSE

It's just that nobody CARES enough to write many viruses for mac...

Apple actually has had absolutely DISMAL responses to security threats (DNS Cache poisoning is a good example, they were WEEKS behind EVERYONE else, and their patch did NOT fix the problem.  It's only a matter of time before something really nasty spreads through mac.)

  7. It's not the fact that Macs don't or can't have viruses, its the fact that nobody wants to make viruses for them. The majority of the world uses a Windows based computer, with a smaller (but growing) percentage using Macs. Making viruses for Macs would have a minimal effect should they get infected. But, some Mac viruses are out there, but as soon as a virus is known, Apple creates a new service pack which protects it from the virus.
