How Was The curse Broken?

  1. It's not really clear, but it seems like it was already inevitable that the curse would break because over time the bonds were loosening. (Kureno, the rooster's bond broke several years earlier for example, which also refutes the fact that it was all Tohru's doing, since she had nothing to do with breaking his bond).  Tohru only helps to speed the breaking of the bonds earlier than they normally would have been broken.  It seems like it was the animal spirits themselves who wanted to be free from this bond they had made with God, and also because each of the humans were able to find something more important in life than their bond with God. (ie, Haru's love for Rin, Yuki's love for Machi, ect.)  Since it was kind of vague about what broke the curse, there can be a number of multiple interpretations depending on what parts you are pulling from what volumes.  Well, at least that's what I think. :)
