I don't know if Wal-Mart in the U.S.A. has the plastic bag recycling, but in Canada Wal-Mart will take back any plastic bags not just their bags and shrink-wrap. I know they take the grocery bags but what about the plastic bags that are made from thicker plastic, do you think they can recycle those too? And for the shrink-wrap, do I need to cut off any stickers that might be on it, like the shrink-wrap that is on cd's? I asked my local store manager and he said all he knows is that they sell all this plastic to this company and they recycle it and use it for packaging. Should I just add the thicker plastic bags and hope they recycle it? Also do the American Wal-Marts have this program in all of their stores? My local store has containers when you come in the door to put any plastic bags in.

  1. Yes Wal-Mart in the US has plastic bag recycling.

They can take any bags thick or thin.  They are all made out of Polyethelene.  The plastic wrap around cd's is not the same.

    Keep it green recycle!
