At a Junior College, What if you have done more than the required 2 or 3 classes for each section of IGETC?

Like to fulfill each section you need 2 or 3 classes, what if you take like 6, what do they do when they look at your record then? (They = the school you are transferring to)

  1. It makes no difference. The university that you apply to transfer to will look at all of your classes/grades, no matter if they don't matter in regards to satisfying IGETC. IGETC is only the basic GE requirement for transfers in CA; nearly everybody transferring out of a JC is going to take more than the required number of classes on one or more sections due to pre-major requirements.
