Basically, i went through a red light - just as it had turned red... it was a big crossing, and on the opposite side across the road - there was a yellow box, but not where my lights were. does that only catch the other side.. going the opposite way to me?

  1. he means the little yellow box that sits beside some traffic lights, they look a bit like a speed camara but not as obvious ... i think if its not above the one you went though, you will be alright.

  2. Running red lights is an offence. You can be caught by the yellow box camera, by a police officer or by a 40 ton truck coming the other way. Two of these lead to a fine and points, one leads to a coffin. Next time think!

  3. You need to wait for the post next few days, goodluck. I think myself you will be OK.

  4. Well, if nothing comes in the mail, then you win! I would check for details on that information about the yellow box with your City Traffic/Engineering Dept. They will tell you what it's all about and then you can share that information  with others providing education for them at the same time. Make sure you get all the details. This is how you learn...........ask  them lots of questions.......good for you!

  5. The yellow box means dont stop in that area.

This has nothing to do with jumping the red light, so yes you could still be caught

Sorry I thought you mean the ones they paint on the road.

If the light only just turned you may be OK as there is a small amount allowed ( Fingers crossed )

  6. Its a 50/50 chance and you will just have to wait and find out, good luck.
