  1. Personally i dont have children, but i am studying a degree in early childhood education.

What we have been taught is that every child is different and develops in their own way and at their own pace.

There is no set age that your daughter should be potty trained by, and a lot of children will let you know in their own way when they feel ready for potty training.

Don't rush her, just let her develop at her own pace and just be ready to help and encourage her when she is ready.

  2. My son knew the abc's and could count to 10 at age 2. He is in the process of becoming fully potty trained and he is now 3.

  3. i need to be getting parenting tips from you  guys your kids all seem so smart compared to mine! lol seriously my kid is going to be two in sep and he only says moma dada once in a blue moon!

  4. Don't worry about the potty training. Kids use the potty at a different pace.

  5. my son just turned two. he can count to 10 and can say half of the alphabet, he never finishes. i think he could if he wanted to, but he doesnt have very long attention span. he is not yet potty trained and i havent started trying to potty train him yet either

  6. Uh my daughter is 19 months old and she will only say things out of the blue. If your daughter is two and knows all that then i would say she is doign great. SOme kids need more time to be potty trained than others. She will get it one day. It sounds like your doing a great job with her.

  7. my son can count to ten, and he is fully potty trained. he is 2 and half

  8. Need pottytrained by 5 years old for kindergarten so no a 2 year old doesn't have to be pottytrained but some will that early but only when really ready.  At 2 you start to introduce the preschool basics but they don't have to really know it.  I know at 2 a lot of kids can sing the ABC's but very few actually recognize any of the letters and rarely ever do they know how to write any of the letters.  I would say 2 year olds should learn to count to 5.  At 2 years old there isn't as much expected but at 3 there is more because of preschool stuff.  By kindergarten they need to write their first name and recognize 16 letters of the alphabet (atleast) and count 1-20 and start to recognize rhyming words and letter sounds so they can begin learning to read.

  9. i personally don't have children, but i am close to my sister and my neice, and my neice knew her abc's and could count to 10 at 20mos.  she will be three in august, but she is very talkative, you can have full conversations with her, and she knows words like "fancy" and "brilliant" whereas my sister's bff's son, who is the same age, hardly ever speaks, he just seems a little distant.  my mom says that things like these could depend on a child's environment and sometimes gender.  i'm not really sure how acurate she is on the gender issue, considering she only has daughters and one granddaughter, no boys. as far as potty training, she mostly has it down, she can go the entire night w/o accidents, most of the time. and when she does have to go, she will just go to the bathroom all by herself and do her buisness. although, she sometimes gets a little confused with wiping.  don't get me wrong, she's not a pro yet, she still has an occasional accident now and then. she is a very quick girl, she picks up on things very fast, and she likes to do stuff all by herself. well sorry if i rambled a little, hope that any of this may have helped!
