At any cafe or restaurants, what's the deal with the 12 tator tot and the five onion ring ruling ?

That just burns me, a customer pays $3.00 for these items and that's what all I get ..

Is it that the "people getting fat" rule, applying to them ,like it is with McDonald's.

  1. Restaurants usually go by weight not specific count.

    At McDonald's their hasbrowns are one single hasbrown but it is a large one and cost $1.00 at most locations. The fries are done in ounces.  Small is 2 oz. Med is 4 oz and Lg is 6 oz.


  2. They go by wieght and portion size. That is correct portion size (Serving) size for those items. You can make more at home cheaper.  That is how restaurants make profit.  

    I agree it is expensive to eat out.
