in beach volleyball, there are only 2 players per side.

6 players for volleyball. No, not 2 front row and 2 back. It varies for whichever play you choose. For example, my team chose 3 front, and 3 back, but only when we had to serve. The setter in the front. I dont count beach v-ball as real v-ball...so yea...

There are 12 players in each team of indoor or outdoor volley ball but only 6 play at a time and the next 6 is for substitution. there is a libero from the second 6 he can be sent in at any time    

but he cannot serve.

But in the case of beach volley ball there are 4 players in each team and 2 play in the court.
