At cross country, I can keep my pace well at practice by listening to music. But i can't do that meets. Help??

  1. Sing the song while you run or have sum1 drive after you in there car while playing music like in that master card comercial

  4. The music is in your head if you stick with a music regemend. Play the same songs from the beginning of your run to the end. When you have a meet. The repition will put the music in your head without having headphones on. During your meet be just as positive about knowing the tune as you are about how fast you run. Good luck

  5. try to get a really repedative song in your head and you'll get it stuck in there than you should be good

  9. listen too your favorite song before the meet twice then when it's time to run playback the song in your head and sing to yourself.

  11. maybe if you can find a song that fits your pace and that you run to it then memorize the lyrics and tune and sing it in your head while your at a meet, then maybe you'll be more focused to.

  12. try to sing it in your head or keep a beat with your feet. If you have a hard time concentrating when doing that, try practicing without music at all, that way you wont have to worry at meets.

  13. i run cc too. i lisen to music as i am praticing when its the day of the meet i bring out a lunch box(for snacks) and i put my ipod in thier. b4 i run i put it in my pocket ( our shorts have pockets) and have way though i put it in as i am running. then b4 finsh i take it out. its not really illegal but coach dont like it
