Hi.

I am going on a trail ride tomorrow, but I am out of fly spray for my horse.

I was wondering if there was anything I could put together tomorrow morning/use tomorrow as fly spray.

Something pretty simple but effective :]]

(p.s. can i use any products already out there, for humans maybe, that is safe for horses?)

what do you guys use on-the-spot?

Thanks!

  1. i have heard that if you use 1 part water, 1 part apple cider vinegar and 1 part pinesol.  it should help....

  2. half pinesal and half water i have a horse it works amazingly!

  3. Skin So Soft, which is made by Avon, works well as a fly spray.  You may be able to find it or something like it in your local drug store or grocery.

And to the person who suggested Pine-sol.  DON'T use it!  It is not meant for consumption, and could be poisonous if ingested by your horse.

  4. I've never tried it on horses but vinegar and water solution works for dogs.  If they l**k it, they won't die lol
