  1. Hi Wiggy.    I have no problem with colour or design changes. the sponsors might. But saying that if I could request a couple of retro looks : Pepsi or lucky strike are my favourite colour schemes. would have loved to see the black JPS colours on a bike. and I think I'm a bit bored with repsol, they need an upgrade.

  2. I love the retro Rizla look on Vermeulen's bike. I also think it's an awesome tribute and Chris seems to be honored to ride it. Very humble, which can be rare nowadays.

I didn't know Yamaha was doing a retro bike too. It would be cool if they all did for next season, at least a race or two.... as long as Rizla keeps their signature color :)

Here's a great article too with some thought from Vermeulen:

  3. Morning Wiggysan

I've been looking forward to these pictures (being a big Barry fan) and must admit to being a tad disappointed! Whilst I realise Rizla has to stick with their usual livery colours - blue - I always think of Barry in Red and Black.

So although the paint is well done and a thoughtful tribute, I have gotta say it doesn't move me at all.

Whereas I rather like the Yami paint - it sort of the reminds me of the old RD 2 and 350 LC paint jobs! Plus I think the Red/white looks very traditional, niiiiiice!

  4. I never liked the look of the Suzuki. It did always look great though but the new paint job is wonderful! I always thought of them as the boring team and now they show some interest in the way they look :)

And the new Yammy is great! I love it when they change the paint job :) but my favorite is the paint they had in Assen! It brought Rossi luck and looked really cool ;)

  5. The Yamaha always looks good in the retro colours, the yellow and classic white/red, from last year, but it really does look good this year, however, the Suzuki looks great!

So much better than the standard paint job, and the structure of the bike really comes out well, too.

They're both winners, except for the race, that'll be a red one, they're faster.
