Question:

At last some common sence?

Finally, our company has said to h**l with the law and the Smoking Ban and reinstated our indoor smoking room by very popular demand. I think they got fed up of the staff despairing for much longer breaks and moaning about the rain. Now all we have to do is convince the local pub :)

Do you know of any other companies in London that have done this or are we the first?

  1. no but it would be interesting to see how they stand on the legal front

  2. Good for you and your company. It's about time somebody made a stand against this idiotic government and the pc brigade. If you do get fined I will make a contribution.

  3. Well done you guys, you have got some freedom back from this government. Entering a smoking room is freedom of choice..

Just don't say what company it is, as a fine will come very quickly to the Libertarians who gave the OK.

  4. It has long been said that the only way to change the law is to break the law. The trouble is, I expect you are all breaking the law and it is likely to be only a matter of time before you all get caught.

It isn't just the company in the wrong, it is everyone who is smoking in the room also.

  5. There will be at least one dip stick that will report them.

The fines are quite heavy because the PC ''invisibles'' don't want a popular uprising.

  6. Liable for a massive fine,Good on you.

  7. Good on them!!!! Its a pity others havent the b*lls to do the same!!!!

  8. No I dont know of any.

But surely your company is going to get in a lot of trouble, especially with someone writing about it on the internet?
