  1. How old are you?  Your scores should be good enough for a scholarship, but to be a pro, you need to average 70 and below on the toughest courses in the world.

  2. Whether or not you become a pro golfer, based on what you stated in your question, your pretty good and you started at a young age and have a lot of experience under your belt.  I don't see a reason why you won't get a scholarship, just practice your weaknesses.  I wish i could shoot a 74 on any course!

  3. sure you can you just have to put your mind to it and stick with it!!!!

  4. You didn't say your age... but low 70's is good for anyone. I shoot in the low 70's myself.

But then again... for me that's just on the front 9.

haha i don't care... i still love the game. I play for a good shot every now and then... its always enough to keep me coming back.

  5. u didnt mention ur age but im guessing your in highschool and thats pretty good just go to a good college play golf win some tournaments and there are other tours that help you work your way up to the PGA tour theres tours like the Nationwide tour

good luck i wanna get a scholarship too but i have a while to go im in 7th gradee

  6. whether you can make it in golf is more about how you can cope in a compettitive stressfull environment. There are molliions of people who are very skilled at the game of golf but very few make it.

  7. How well do you play in a competitive environment? That would be the determinant.

  8. The key thing about getting a scholarship to college and then moving on to the pros is what you shoot in tournaments.  A lot of guys have the ability to shoot low 70s in a casual round, but what you do in competition is what counts.  See how you do in high school tournaments, and try to play some junior amateur events during the summer to see how you measure up.
