  1. Is that not because Brussels is the heart of Europe, and politicians across the EU run their country indirectly. After all, they are the most subsidised country in the Union!.

  2. it seems to me that if Belgians are managing and functioning without their politicians or a running government, then who needs the government?

  3. personally i would put my faith in a combination of the Queen as head of state and an army of civil servants all accountable to the crown and law. MP's have proved themselves to be dishonest untrustworthy manipulators who have more interest in feathering they're own nests than serving the British public. we have all reached a point now where as.....as soon as a politician opens its mouth our brains switch off automatically. we know! nothing but lies will follow. the queen has nothing to gain....you wont find her with her head firmly stuck in the trough. you wont find her selling honers or telling lies. her sence of duty to the people of Great Britain is as!! rock....she is honerable and trustworthy. you wont find the like within the ranks of politicians. if i were to be asked to have faith in a leader. thats the one i would give my faith to.

  4. Only for awhile.  Everything will change

  5. Wouldn't we often wish we all could do with - lets be honest - far less politicians.  The day to day business of running a country is carried out by Civil Servants; ergo doing without for quite a while is not a major problem.  Things will only come a cropper when new legislation is required, when the national budget needs approving etc.  That's when the politicians have to put their two cents in.
