It's just a medium to large floral and no stripes or anything.I am going to try to make a lap quilt from a new pattern I have and I don't know everything there is to know about sewing and quilt making even though I have my new pattern,a book, pattern books and the internet!lol! So I hope my project doesn't turn into a huge mess.

  1. On most floral prints, there is no up or down.  On some, however, all the flowers face the same direction or have stems pointing down.  Fold your fabric so the ends are at right angles to each other and compare the ends to decide if you have a directional print.

  2. It may not have stripes but if the flowers have stems then it is directional.

  3. It may or may not be. If the flowers are all going in the same direction (the tops on top and the bottoms on bottom), then it is directional. If the flowers are jumbled about with no particular direction, then it is not directional.
