At&t Tilt Phone questions...?

I've read a lot of the questions already asked on the website, but I can't find the answer I need..

First of all, just to confirm, does it cost any money to use wifi, because I don't have an internet or medianet plan on my phone?

Second, how do you get wifi, to work and when you do, can you go straight to internet explorer?

I'm sort of confused, so detailed instructions would be appreciated.

It does not cost u anything extra to use WiFi.

U will have a connection manager icon on the taskbar , click on it then click on WiFi button. then there should be some sort of notification icon on top of your screen. If its the 1st time you are trying to connect WiFi to a secure network, it might ask you for a password.
