I'm new to the whole contract phone, I used to just have a prepaid phone, and I'm confused with what exactly data usage is. I don't have a data plan, but I do have a text plan on my phone, and I sent about 14 pictures to my friends. I also went online to check my email about 3 or 4 times. It says I have a total of 12,892kb's of data sent and received already and I read somewhere AFTER I sent the pictures that it's .01/kb. Does that mean I have $128 in extra charges?! I've only had my phone for 2 days, so that would really suck if the picture msgs at least aren't considered data used since i have the txt plan.

  1. Read your contract, ask the sales person if you have questions.

  2. Call them and tell them other and sound mad lol.

  3. The data sent of 12.89 is usage not charges, they will charge you at the end of the month for data used if you do not have a data plan.  If you have media messaging and text messaging you should be fine but checking your email is going online and that's considered data.  Good luck!

  4. go to the store and talk to them about it. mean while dont text

  5. if you are sending pictures to an e-mail address, this will be data use, did you download anything, like a ringtone???

Call 611 from your phone, & talk to customer service, they will explain the charges to you!!!!

  6. The photo's are digital bandwidth or Data.  Get a phone without a camera or you will be living to support a goofy phone.

  7. yes
