At&t data usage? Help!!!!?

I woke up this morning and looked at my phone to find that the internet on my phone was on. Apparently i accidentally pressed it before i went to sleep last night. So that means it had been on the little default homepage at&t has for at least 9 hours. How much do you think it is going to charge for that and what the h**l am i going to tell my parents.

Wow! This same thing just happened to me! Here is what you do. If this is your first time that you have used this amount of internet, you tell them that you did not authorize the internet usage. You tell them that you were asleep during this time. You can even explain the whole situation about how it was accidentally bumped. I wouldn't. I would just say that you were asleep and you did not authorize the charges. Our bill was over $600. Once we told them we were not going to pay it and that is was ridiculous to ask us to pay for something we didn't use, they backed down. They made us pay $30 for the data plan for three months. That way if there is anything (internet usage) on the next bill carrying over, we won't have the same issue. You may want to get your parents to call AT&T before the bill comes so they can already take care of it. Just tell them to say what I told you and you should be ok. I hope this gets worked out! Go ahead and tell them now, so you won't get in trouble when the bill comes. Once you explain it and explain how to fix it, they should be ok.

The first pop is a flat $60, if it went nowhere but the default page you should be ok. AT&T has great customer service. If this si the first time it's happened, they will probably take it off. If you have a Razr, what a bummer. I'm 44 and hit that d**n Internet button by accident all the time. Good luck explaining it to your parents. I've defended so many kids over this very same thing because of how many times I've done it myself!
