At that age you are of legal age in new zealand?

In April I will study in auckland for six months and would like to know what I can do and what I can not do.

Can I go to nightclubs? I have seventeen years old

hey mate, are you going to study there for six months or are you actually going there to do lots of other things that you might consider as fun such as drinking, smoking, hanging out and experience .......inside the bracket of studying?I am not lecturing you, you are responsible for your own life BUT...you are your own police...no one else can look after you except YOU and no one else is responsible for all the misfortunes you might have....there are some mistakes we do when we are young and not experienced and then we regret and suffer for the rest of our life....Just to make the story short and get to the point....BE CAREFUL , wise and reasonable

You can't go to nightclubs (till 18), but you can drive (15) and get your license.

You are legally allowed to have s*x at (16) You can get the "pill" etc at (16) but not allowed access to s*x shops or rent p**n, restricted to (18)

The legal drinking and smoking age in New Zealand is also (18)

You can buy a lotto ticket at any age, but have to be over 16 to buy an instant kiwiticket!

I know .. weird and back the front.

NZ really needs ONE legal age to do everything ie vote, drink, drive.
