Depends how long you are traveling for. Five days or more will give you a better deal. From experience between 180/250 euro

go to www.aferry.to, you can compare all ferry prices, not only from Dublin, but also anywhere in IRL. Normally, be prepared, they're a rip off anyway, and after seeing the prices you'll re consider taking the car.
