At the ekka on the ferris wheel how many people can go in one thing?

In the new air conditioned ferris wheel (the humungus one with the red carriages) you can have 6 people although last year I went on with 4.

On the old one (the open one with multi- coloured carriages) it is also six but again, you can go on with less.

I'm pretty sure, at times when it isn't busy (which is hardly ever and I've only seen it once!) you can even have just one person there,
