Once the ball has gone into the stands what happens if you don't give it back? I've never heard that it must be given back but it's assumed that you should.

  1. the fans sitting next to you would tell on you! For football they do have spare balls on the sidelines. CRicket to for a lost ball. it does not happen very often though.

  2. you grab it and run like h**l

I did and got port powers 1st home ball in the AFL

I have been going to Footy/Cricket for over 35 years

and its the 1st ball i ever marked or even touched whlie spectating

its worth about $5000 well thats what ive been offered

  3. The police look for you and surround you........

  4. You have to return it, if you don't police/security will take it from you.

  5. Hey Baz you an Aussie, I remember at local games like the SANFL which was SA's premier league before they had joined the AFL, kids would wait behind the ground for someone to kick a big goal out the stadium and then run off with the ball, the Officials would give chase of course. This brings me to the point of the Guy that stole(that's how they see it) Adam Gilchrists' Record Breaking Six Hit. They consider it stealing because the ball is not the person who collects its property much in the same way if you find money or an object and don't hand it in to the Police.

  6. It is generally considered theft from the governing body of the sport or competition, or whichever other body dictates the provision of match equipment.

  7. the police or tha authorities working there come take it from you

    ive seen it happen

  8. normally some police officer comes up to u,

funny clip from Almost Football Legends when a kid marks the ball after a goal was kick at a local match and he rans with the ball out of the ground...
