  1. No, they were silent for the most part. Even the Pope did not raise a finger. That accusation came about after the Nostradamus books became fodder for TV shows and pseudo historical soap operas.


  2. I'm sure they did ..but I dont know that I would have said that outloud during the war. Hitler was a very evil powerful being ..and more than a fair share of people where petrified of him as well as hated him.

  3. Hitler was born Catholic - but was not a "practicing Catholic."

    True, kind people of all religious persuasions had great misgivings re: the "Little Corporal." but by the time things started to come together and make sense - there wasn't much any good people could do about it. They'd get a bullet to the back of the neck.

    Despite this, many "Good Germans" DID try to get rid of him - and THEY wound up shot, hung or shipped off to a Camp.

    Interesting how there wasn't a n**i to be found in Germany after the War, isn't it?
