first off he cannot win rookie of the year (whoever said that first)

he had 229 ABs with the Diamondbacks last year, and the cut off for a rookie season is a130 ABs

right now, Quentin ranks in the AL:

1st in HR

3rd in RBI

but hes only hitting .287

Hamilton is .305 right now 2nd in HR and 1st in RBI

based off the everday stat categories, it looks like Hamilton would be the MVP of the AL at this moment

I wish he would, but I do think Josh Hamilton will beat him out. Josh Hamilton was one of the greatest breakout stories of the year, and has already won the hearts of everyone in baseball. Truthfully, if this was just on performance based alone, I believe Carlos Quentin would win against anyone, hands down. But the whole thing with Josh Hamilton and the addiction and everything else will give him that edge that he needs to win.

Josh Hamilton will win the A.L. MVP this season, but Quentin will get some consideration for the award. Both of them have had very good years.

Josh Hamilton will be the MVP, because he already won the hearts of the voters and the so called baseball "analysts", but Quentin should definitely be considered, I do believe in the future he will eventually be an MVP because he's got the stuff, but just not this year
