At this one restaurant, I saw cooks cutting food directly on metal table. Are they safe to eat?

I'm just getting paranoid about having metal dust and bits in my food.

  1. food is fine,the knife on the other hand will be very dull


  2. It is quite safe because the metal is not  porous and therefore can not absorb anything from the food being cut.

  3. You should be more worried about germs.  If not cleaned and sanitized correctly it can upset your stomach or get you sick.

  5. are they cooking the food afterwards?  The metal needs to be sanitized before they prepare and serve the food.

  6. Unless it's a rusty table, you have nothing to worry about.  It's probably a stainless steel table anyway.

  7. The tables are made for preparing food. They are safe eat up.
