  12. I used to love fasting! My first fast was at 5 (only one day) but then I fasted the whole month at about 8 or 9 and have been doing so since then (even though it wasn't required I loved feeling accepted in the religion). As for prayer, I probably prayed when I was like 4 at the mosque but still struggle to make it a regular habit :-( AstughfirAllah....maybe this Ramadan will change this for me!

    Salams.

  13. I first started praying at 19.  I'm a revert.  I tried fasting at 18 before I became Muslim, but it didn't work out, because my Creative Living teacher told me if I didn't eat the food we'd cooked in class, then I'd get a detention and be sent to the principal's office, and fail the class.  I had to pass that class in order to graduate, otherwise I would have still been in high school at 20 years old.  So I ended up eating.  Fasting made me sick to my stomach.  I had a hard time fasting because I was the only Muslim in my family and the only Muslim in my town.  I didn't have anyone to help me with prayers, and fasting and all that stuff.  I was forced to eat a little throughout the day, because fasting was making me sicker then a dog, like I wanted to throw up or would faint from not eating.  But Alhamdulillah it's gotten better.  Though I am still sick for my first week of Ramadan every year.

  14. First Salah -- 4 years old

First Fast -- 13 years old.

  15. Around 8 or something, and i felt so proud of it! The fasts were so short, literally just waking up for school and when you returned at 3 Mum would be in kitchen and it'd be iftaari by 4pm. And i never once broke any either!! :))
