At wat age r u allowed to work in the USA?

theres someplaces where i live that you can be 14 and work like at publix.... but alot of places you have to be 16

14 in ohio. But I was employed under the table with a landscaper when I was 12.

i believe each state is different, in NY it was 14 but only small things and you need a working permit..i started work at 16 when i was in HS
