Question:

At what age can I start feeding my parakeet REAL fruits and vegetables?

My parakeet is 17 weeks old and I bought him this "parakeet food" called "ecotrition" and it already has vegetables and fruits in it,but they're not REAl VEGETABLES AND FRUITS.[[their seeds]].

  1. The sooner the better...Just remember that feeding fresh fruits and veggies will cause the droppings to look on the runny side.  This is ok, it is not really diarrhea....

    i suggest starting with apple. my ringneck was destroying whole apples every day when he was only 10 weeks.

    really wish people would stop just saying parakeet, they don't always act the same.

    my irn also likes carrot, broccoli, cauliflower he LOVES peas.

    if your gonna feed broccoli, i recomend buying a mint plant as well, it give my birds bad breath
