  1. When I moved my kids from their crib to their big bed at around 2 years of age (plus or minus a few months) I gave them a very flat pillow to sleep on.  Neither my son or daughter even used it at first but they got used to it over time.

  2. I've read that not until the child is 2.  I didn't let my daughter have one until she was almost 3.  I'm a bit obsessive.  But am getting better.  My son is just 14 months old and he's getting one real soon.  He LOVES pillows!

  3. same here.... when he went to a toddler bed....

about two years old....he was very ready for it....no worries of suffocating....

he was strong...and woke up...easy enough ....manipulated blankets....etc..
