I read 6 months. But to always use pool safety and not to dunk him or her under. (of course)

All mine went in as soon as the summer rolled around.  September baby, July baby, May baby and December baby.  Chlorine is in your water that you drink.  It will not harm your baby.  Being in the water is very good for them.
