  1. As far as I know there is nothing stopping him from getting a job now, I was 15 when I started work, a lot depends on what he want to do now, there is plenty of work out there if you look for it.

  2. I assume you are in the UK.

He can start work as soon as he is 16, if he has left school he can work full time, nobody will employ anyone under 16 anymore, none of my kids could even get weekend work before they could show their p45's.

The rules have changed since we all worked before we left school.

  3. under 16 can only work a 40 hour work week but once you are 16 there isnt a limit on hours

  4. Under the fed guidelines he could work at age of 14, but during school he needs to work less than 8 hours a day. There are some jobs he can't do such as work as a cook before the age of 16, or handle chemicals. At 16 he can pretty much do most normal jobs.

  5. He should be able to get a job then. Places like fast food restaurants and retail stores should hire him.

  6. he can start working once he turns 16 but only for a few hours a week because of school. that's a law. I'm not sure how many hours a week he is allowed to work though

  7. he can work now as a saturday or evening job but i think under 18 are limited to how many hours they can actually work in a week.

  8. I was about 14/15 when I started my first job. There is a limit on how many hours you can work though and you have to get permission from your school and sign an agreement to say that you will finish the job if your school work starts to suffer.

    Hope this helps.

  9. at 14 you can work but you have to get a work slip from your school...dunno about 16s
