  1. most strollers recline I would look into one of those vs like an umbrella stroller since she will not be able to sit up and the other stroller ( not umbrella) will last you much longer

  2. I would say when they can hold their head up steadily. You don't want to make the move until they can hold their head up so that they do not get hurt. I would say that is really the biggest factor between the up right and laying down strollers and what one a baby should be in.

  3. An upright or umbrella stroller is for a child who can sit up on his or her own. Mostly about 7 to 8 months or older. Definitely for a toddler. Did anyone offer to buy you a baby carriage which reclines and sits up at your baby shower? You know..... the kind that has a tray table on the front and a diaper bag basket on the back. If  not, please look into getting one. That is what you will need until your baby can sit up on her own. It has room for her to lay down and you can adjust the seat to sit it up when she is awake.

  4. you can do it right now just make sure that the stroller allows you to recline the baby a little bit.

  5. My daughters stroller reclines, but since about 6 months she has sat straight up for most of the time.  If shes in the stroller for awhile, I recline it for her.

  6. I agree that your child may be a bit young for an upright stroller, but my daughter is 5 1/2 months old and has been using an umbrella stroller (just for fun) for almost a month now. We use a reclinable one for long trips and the umbrella one just for trips around the yard or to the mail box. If your child is can hold her head up and is able to sit up in her own, or close to, she may be ready. Give it a try!

P.S. They definitely are not good for sleeping though!
