At what age can my mallard duckling stay out side at night?

i have a pen for my duckling and i put my ducking out side in the day but bring it in at night . but my duckling is geting to big so i was wondering what age it can stay out side all the time.

  1. When they are fully feathered. With chickens this is at 8 weeks. Build a coop or a place open on one side (the lee or windless side) with a roof that he can get into out of the hot sun if that is a problem, and places to hide from predators, like bushes. Coop him up at night in a secure place or he will become a midnight snack for a raccoon or something else.


  2. Arent ducks born to live outside??
