At what age can you have a real job in america?

16 in most states.

You can work at 16 in most states, at 14 in some, but there are restrictions on the kind of job and how many hours, etc.  You can be employed full time as an adult at 18.  Under 18 your mostly looking at fast food.  Most employers require you to be 18 to even consider you for most positions.  There are some restrictions on serving / selling alcohol until you are 21.  I'm not sure how all that works.
