At what age can you leagally decide whethier you want to live with your mom or your dad?

I decided at age 12.  I dont know if that is truly the legal age or not, or if it is just a plan my parents worked out with their attorneys.

12 in the u.s. If it were my daughter it would hurt my feelings no matter what. But if your mom lves you as much as most mothers love their daughters she will accept it. I would just hope my daughter would set down and tell me she wanted to talk about something and then go on to tell her how much you love her and your dad but you really want to live with him and tell her the reason you wat to live with him. Most girls are very attrached to their fathers you can't help how you feel just keep in mind when telling your mom that she can't help but feel hurt also . but she'll get over it. these things hve a way of working themselves out .

You may leave home, in the US at the age of 18.

You should definitely talk to your Mom about your problems.  Maybe there is another school you could attend. Or you could be mature about it and deal with your problems.  At your age, EVERYONE struggles with the whole social thing.  It's hard, but it is the dealing with it that makes us the adults we become.  If you deal with it by running away, you will set yourself up for a lifetime of running away from your problems.  If you deal with it head-on, you will grow up to become a mature and responsible adult, which is what you want to do.

Take care of yourself,  you don't give much in specifics, but remember, those kids who may be tormenting you, only do so because they don't have any better way of coping with their insecurities, and you can rise above it, and become the bigger person.  It will be good practice for the rest of your life.

tell your ma you love her but you want to live with your dad and you will still come and see her at any time you could still go live with her and if all else fails you can be like that one kid and divorce there parents
