At what age can you open a bank account at?

im 14 and i would like to open a bank account. can i open one at this age... also if i sell something on ebay and want to transfer the money from paypal to a bank account can i transfer it at this age.

I had a joint account with my mother when I was 13yo.  Then I opened my own account  when I was 18yo.

you have to 18 to open your OWN bank account.....but at 14 you can open one with your name on it, but your parent's name would be on it also and they would be the primary person who be on the account. and as far as ebay and paypal, it would probably all have to be done in your parent's name also or at least with their permission...hope this helps...

18 BUT YOU CAN OPEN ONE AT THIS AGE JUST AS LONG AS IT IS LINKED TO A PARENTS ACCOUNT.
