  1. 2 or 3, but we have candlepin bowling over here (tiny little, 2.5lb balls) and I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about. She didn't do "big ball" bowling until she was 10, since there aren't any around here. I think 6 is perfectly fine, no matter how big the balls are. And use the bumpers.

  2. 6 is a great age for bowling. She would have a blast and they have things like gutter guards (bumpers) that keep the ball from going in the gutter.

  3. I work in a bowling alley and we have people bowling much younger than her, so she'll be fine. When you take her make sure you ask the front counter for a 6 pound ball(which is usually the smallest size) and ask how to get bumpers turned on(as it is different at every alley).

  4. that's a great age!  there will be smaller balls for her use and bumpers.

  5. The first time we ever went bowling was when I was 4 (preschool graduation activity with my parents). I "granny bowled" (roll from between the legs) and the lanes had bumpers and I did fine. Now I'm 17 and I just went last week without bumpers and my score was 19. In 10 frames. Yeah, I suck...

  6. Definately before 6. I think it was probably around age 3. She's completely old enough to enjoy herself! My six year old uses a 6 lb. ball and rolls it from between her legs (granny bowling). Just make sure the lane has bumper guards and you are good to go!

  7. I was like four. Most bowling alleys have bumpers and the little slide you put the ball on and she just taps it and it rolls down the lane.

She is Definetly NOT to young. I was going to birthday parties at the bowling alley when i was like 6

  8. 4...that was kind of young, but she had a blast...they lob the ball a lot, but hey....live and learn!!

  9. my son was 4  and loved it.

  10. Four........it took a little while for her to get used to rolling the ball....first couple of times she threw it like it was a baseball. I wanted to ask if they rented helmets!

Now my kids are an almost 13 year old and nine year old twins and they like bowling, but it's not the draw it used to be.

  11. My neice had a bowling party for her 4th birthday. My 2 year old nephew had a blast and so did everyone else. They get to use those bumpers so they always knock some pins down.

  12. way earlier then that!! i was 4 or 3 when it was my first time bowling

  13. My kids all started bowling when they were in Daycare...they were about two.
