At what age did you move your infant/toddler from the crib to a toddler bed?

Usually by the time they are two u can move them to a toddler bed... i wouldnt wait no longer...

My oldest got her toddler bed when she turned 2, but my youngest is going to get her bed when she turns 1

Both my sons moved into toddler beds for their 2nd birthdays. The first week I would stay near by to redirect them to their bed if they crawled out and after that they completely settled in.

About the age 2-3 is good that's what I found.

Wandering in and out of your own room will  stop eventually

At a year old but of course I put her bed next to mine (well my mom lets her sleep in my room because she is glued to me)

1st: 1.5, 2nd: 2 but they both went straight to a regular bed with a rail.

mine was 18 months. i would say wait until they start to look uncomfortable in their cot, there is no rush. my son started to bang himself on the sides of the cot when he turned over and woke himself up like 5 times a night. i moved him into a bed and put a guard on the side of the bed to stop him falling out. he sleeps right through now :-)

i have two children 18mths apart .

when eldest was young he was reluctant to sleep in own room[had had some medical issues as a toddler so quite often wanted to sleep with me in my bed] so stayed in cot til about 3 [cat nappin on couch in the day]

my youngest has always done everything early and eagerly so i had her in a bed before she turned 2[she prefered her ability to get out of bed when she woke unaided -and was toilet trained through day and night already]

each child is different and my advice is ....if child is able to safely climb on and off a single bed ....put a gate on their door ,a safety rail on their bedside and let them try sleeping in a bed ...it cant hurt

it'll depend on the child

My son got his at a year old.  He slept in it just fine.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with my twins.  I think I've heard about one or two years old from other people.

2.5   We wanted to do it before the new baby came.  We made a huge deal of it and painted her room a fun color and got kitty cat bedding and loads of fun stuff and made her a part of it.  We didn't have one l**k of trouble!
