And what is it? Are you successful? What advice can you give me, being an 18 Year old New Yorker, getting many calls daily from many colleges with many directions to it.

Thank You.

  1. Probably around 45. I should have been a college professor and wound up a probation officer.  Certainly successful but hated it.

You need to sit down and write a list of the possibilities, and then the pros and cons under each.

Go to this website and take the free test, and take the results into account:

    http://kts2.personalityzone.com/user/reg...

Once you've taken the test and have your 4-letter personality/temperament designator, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myers-brigg...  and scroll down to the paragraph titled: "Type dynamics and development" and look to the right at the rectangle titled "The Sixteen Types" and find your four-letter type and click on it, and read about yourself!  If you answered the questions on the test honestly and accurately, you'll be amazed at how well you're described!

Pick a college and attend and keep an open mind, and your list.

It will  become clearer with time.

  2. I was very young (about 10) when I made this awesome decision. I eventually went to College then worked at it after qualification. I grew out of it after about 5 years.

The only advice I can give you is to follow your gut instincts - choose what you actually know will give you great pleasure and satisfaction whilst doing it. Don't choose a path just because it appears to be a good route to somewhere else.

Find your dream and follow it. Be happy at all costs. Regards UK

  3. High School, Bank Teller. Did not make it. Became a Data Entry person. Hate it now. Also wanted to be a Flight Attendant. Can't stand perfumes.

I am like you, trying to decide where to go. Temping now. Maybe save up some cash and be a 18 wheeler truck driver?.?

  4. like some people , I never did find out what I wanted to do for a living ... I had many different types of jobs and I've had college and learned a few trades .

The job I enjoyed most was owning my own business.. but you must be very careful if you have a partner (which was necessary for financing).... My partner destroyed the business .

If your confused you may want to see a counselor or psychologist who can give you Aptitude and Interest testing . This can help greatly in simplifying  this decision .
