  1. i dont think you can be too old for stuffed animals. i still have them. most of them are sentimental values from family and friends. others are just so d**n cute! i cant get rid of them when they look like that!

  2. I lost my childhood 'buddy' when I went abroad at 27, it still makes me want to cry, especially now that I have kids and could have passed him down.

  3. I don't think a child is too old for one, as long as they want to have one.  Sometimes something as simple as a stuffed animal has a wealth of positive memories attached to it.

  4. You're never too old for stuffed animals.

  5. I'm 19 and I still have them. They hold sentimental value to me.

  6. I am almost 22 and I still have all my stuffed animals from child hood, and I still buy some now and then. Also, I have quite the collection for my baby too. I think a child is too old, when they tell you they are too old.

  7. No age!  If he has too many, maybe put some away in a closet and switch them out?  Or get a toy net.  Or go through his favorites, and donate the others to a thrift store.

  8. I'm so happy to see that so many people think it's ok to have stuffed animals no matter what the age.  My son is nine and has hundreds of them.  My daughter is 20 and I recently crocheted her a doggy and sent it to her.  There's no age limit to something that makes you happy.  I don't understand why we want to force our children to grow up so fast, I say let them be kids!  Too many kids act way too old and end up in serious trouble.

  9. Miss, DON'T judge your kids on this by their age. Maybe they just love their stuffed animals. I do.

  10. I'm 23 and I still ahve a ton of them and still like being given them.

  11. i love stuffed animals, i keep mine as keepsakes, from when i was really little!

  12. You're never too old.

  13. I don't think they are ever too old... boy or girl.  If they like them or it's comforting to them, then who cares?

  14. mmmmm...I'd say 137.

Seriously, you're never too old to have stuffed animals.  Your husband probably wants to make sure he's not a "soft little girly boy".  Typical.  Maybe just sort through them and keep the ones that are favorites and give the rest to the local shelter or goodwill.  OR get a bunch of those corner net shelf things and put most of them up in the corners of his room.  But he's still little...regardless of how old is too old, he's still young enough to have them.

  15. as long as they like them - they are never too old.  I still love stuffed animals and I am 34.  All of my kids (15 months - 10 years) LOVE them.

  16. There's no age limit. If he likes them, where's the problem there?

  17. You're never too old to have stuffed animals.  I still have mine and I have a four year old grandchild.

  18. About 70.

  19. For Christmas 1961, I got a stuffed Bugs Bunny as a gift. He became my best friend and companion. I slept with him every night for the next 8 years. His ears came off and were sewn back on too many times to count, as well as his arms and legs. He became threadbare and tattered, but I loved him. I was 12 and beginning the 7th grade when he disappeared. I didn't know what happened to him. I suspected that my Dad threw him out, he did things like that.

It wasn't until around 1999 or so that my sister confessed that she threw him into the trash as a joke. She was bothered that I thought my Dad did the evil deed. I am still mad that she did that. The same Christmas that I got my Bugs Bunny, she got a Chatty Cathy doll, which, by the way, she still has. She is 55 and I am 51 now. Every time I see her, I ask if I can see her Chatty Cathy doll. Each time, she refuses, because she knows that I will throw her in the trash in retaliation for my Bugs Bunny being brutally murdered back in 1969.

    Even now, I have a little stuffed bunny in my truck that my future Mother in law gave me, and I am a big strong, macho Cowboy truck driver. So, in answer to your question;

I think a child is NEVER too old to have stuffed animals.

I can still shed tears over my Bugs Bunny.

    Edit:

I hope your husband reads this. The damage caused by someone taking away our friends never heals. Buy him a stuffed monkey or something. I wish I could talk to him about the value of letting kids be kids and not taking their toys away from them. I hope his attitude does not damage your child.

  20. NEVER...WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT THEY LOVE THEM AGE APPROPRIATE! THAT MEANS A 13 YEAR OLD SHOULD NOT NEED THEIR TEDDY TO FALL ASLEEP WITH BUT IT WOULD BE PERFECTLY OK TO LOVE A TEDDY BEAR! JUST AS A 6 YEAR OLD SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN JUST FINE IF THEY FORGOT TO BRING THEIR FAVORITE STUFFED ANIMAL ON A VACATION....BUT IT WOULD BE OK TO BE A LITTLE SAD THAT THE BELOVED CUDDLE BUDDY ISN'T WITH THEM.

  21. never....what's wrong with stuffed animals...some people collect them

  22. 3

  23. never, he will eventually out grow them.

  24. I'm 25 and I still have them! There is no age limit.

  25. Never,

and don't take them away. My mom did that when I was a kid, said I had to many, and took them (almost all) and put them in storage. I am still mad and it has been like 20 years.

Oh and ofcourse they all got destroyed sitting in the attic.

  26. never to old if you like them

  27. When they no longer want them.  I still have a few around.

  28. I'm 18 and i have all of mine still. I had hundreds when i was younger because i had operations so i got 3 everytime i went in

  29. Never too old! What does it matter, if it offers security or comfort we all need some of that!
