.......should cut their hair short? Or the better question would be......When are women too old to have long hair? I don't mean waist length, but definitely past your shoulders? Thanks!

  1. It depends on your body as a whole.

  2. I agree with twinkles.

Your never too old! My own mother is in her 60's and she still has long hair and she looks great!!!

  3. IDK. I mean, it's really only the last century when that bit started. Victorian chix had long hair till the grave.

They just "bunned" it, toward the end years.

Not that styling choices should be decided by what happened 100 years ago...actually, maybe they should. Clothes were a lot better looking back then.

Anyway, you've got a ways to go. As long as you can wash your own hair, keep it.

  4. Women always look good with medium length hair no matter what age.  When they cut their hair short, they just look like monkeys.

  5. i think ur never too old to have long hair...it always depends on ur face shape...u can find women that are well in their 60's even 70's that still have hair that is shoulder length or longer and look great in it...i think its a huge misconception that women need to chop their hair off as they age...why would u do it? because u think old people are supposed to? because u think that u should look as old as u can be?...i think u should always cut ur hair according to ur face, body and hair texture reguardless of age...

  6. i agree wiith tilly

  7. 40-45.

  8. I think women are too old to have long hair when they can't manage it any more. I don't think there should be an age limit, just when you can't manage it anymore, and think you should cut it short. :]]

  9. i think it really depends on the fullness of your hair. if your hair begins to thin the older you get then u should find a shorter cut to add more body.  this way your hair has a healthy youthful look.

  10. it depends on the woman, i don't think you will be able to nail down a universal age limit for long hair. some women just don't like having short hair and others will have their hair short most of their life. older women having shorter hair is a stereotype.

  11. 50s would b too old 4 long hair because it needs special care.

    i like ur hair though!!

  12. Male opinion: Jamie lee Curtis, Sinade O'connor, Bjork, Winnona Rider, Melanie Griffith, Paris"puke" Hilton, Angelina Joile, Milla Jovovich, These are actors playing parts in a movie. It is your life and your decision. Sometimes change is good, but it still is yours to decide!!

  13. I don't think there should be a rule on age when it comes to hair length. If the style whether it be long or short looks attractive on that person and suits them, then it is right. Everyone is different. It would also matter how they style their hair. If you have long hair but wear it in a sophisticated style, then that can be a head turner. Also coming into play is the health of the hair. Long unhealthy hair on any woman is not good. If an older woman has healthy pretty hair and wants to wear it long, it would be appropriate if it enhanced her beauty. She could put it in a updo too.

  14. I don't think age really makes a difference when it comes to having short hair or long hair. I think the more important issue is manageability. If you are a young person with long hair, your parents generally manage it for you. As you get older, you have to manage your own hair. If you reach a point where you cannot care for your long hair yourself (wash it, comb it, brush it, style it), then you are too old for long hair.

  15. One of my mothers clients (shes a pro hairdo-er) is nearly 63 and she has lower-back length white-blonde hair, and it just goes with her spectacularly because of her happy and bubbly personality.

I think it depends on the person.

  16. i think late fifties to early sixties

around that age most women show signs of aging

and if you cut your hair short around that age it will

guaranteed take 10 years off your apperance
