Mine is approx. 4 1/2 months old now and weighs 430 grams. 3 weeks ago he/she weighed 395. I know greys rarely get larger than 500 or so; at the bird store where I bought mine there is a resident bird there that weighs 520. . . just curious about this. Thanks!

  1. they are fully grown at about a year old

  2. Becareful you aren't over feeding. Babies will eat and eat, so watch the crop to be sure he isn't eating too much. Babies do gain weight fast.

Over weight birds aren't healthy birds. Ensure this bird is being active for this age and provide some safe and small toys to play with, but keep the perchs lowered until he is older and better balanced.

You are talking Congo Afrian Grey and not a TAG I hope.
