I'm a 14 year old girl and i realized, you know, "good feelings" probably around 10 or 11. I feel very self concious about this and feel like I can't talk to anybody about this. I feel like i shouldn't be embarassed though because there's no way for me to get pregnant this way. Am I being responsible or disgusting? I think i figured it out WAY too early and that is why i am embarrased.

I feel ashamed sometimes...

  1. hey, nothing to be embarrased about, everyone does it at some time or other, those who deny doing it are liars, its a normal bodily function.

Some people say its bad for you but it isnt.

As for the age? well that depends with the onsett of puberty which varies from individual to inviddual

  2. Nothing to be ashamed about ;) And you sound more responsible than disgusting, so heads up girl!

Ps: I would have thought 12 years old, but girls often do it earlier.

  3. there is no age that you start. some do it young and some do when they are older. you are fine, its normal, nothing to be ashamed of.

  4. NEVER THINK THAT!

Masturbation is a normal thing and can be done at pretty much any age.Girls and boys as young as 3 years old to 50 years old

(I believe 50 is nasty though).Don't feel ashamed or embarrassed because of that.

  5. Not sure about the India comment, and ignore the one about sin.....

Children actually know from a very early age that touching their genitals feels good.  There's lots of nerves and blood flow to that area, so it is sensitive.  My oldest frequently had his hand down his shorts as a toddler, and as he's gotten older we told him that was OK, but it was a private issue.  My niece used to love to rock on her rocking horse because it stimulated that area.

At some point during puberty, with all the hormonal changes going on, that same pleasurable feeling turns into a more sexual feeling and we tend to want to explore that more.

It's all normal, it is in no way disgusting!

  6. First of all, masturbation is normal, healthy and NOT a sin.

I'm a Dad, I raised 2 girls, my wife and I talked to our girls and explained that "feeling good" was OK. They had their "private time." they even asked my wife about methods.

Secondly, do NOT be embarrassed, it is NOT wrong, NOT a sin. Yes, getting caught can be embarrassing, but it is normal. I'm sure your mother, grandmother, dad and grandfather masturbated.

Get a mirror and take a good look "down there" and figure out what feels good. Enjoy your body.

    Good Luck

  7. It is earlier than most people to start at 10 or 11 but a lot of people do. In fact small kids do it because it feels good or because they're curious. Not necessarily masturbating to o****m, but touching and playing with their genitals, yeah. You sound normal don't worry about it. By 14 most people are doing it regularly.

  8. Umm, I wouldn't do it because it's likely that someone will see you...

  9. I have to say boys do it the most.

    Yes.

    Boys win again xD

  10. Around 15 when u r not a virgin

  11. don't worry ur fine and there is nothing to be ashamed of all girls get the same feeling as u have been getting sooner or later and ur being a responsible person to so don't worry

  12. I will tell you (people, because you will see it anyways...)a secret...

    I realized when I was about 7! O.o

Nothing to be ashamed of, but watch out because if you will be with a boy, it might lead you to bed :( So just control yourself and everything will be alright :)

  13. WHY IS YOUR PICTURE OF A BOY

  14. well i used to m********e but oncei  found out it was a sin (sexual immortality) i stopped but umm yea i guess it's normal since many people do it early ...
