Depends on where you live!! Here in NM very small ranch and farm boys all have their knives and know how not to cut their fingers off.

you can buy knives at 18 but anything longer then the average pen-knife will get you arrested and you only get 1 warning when you are not a minor before you end up in court and possibly in jail under the offence of points and blades or offensive weapon.
