At what age should a 4 yr old be able to grill a medium rare ribeye without turning it into medium well ??

If he is able to grill up a medium  rare ribeye  by the time he turns  2 1/2 to 3 years of age,  it's sad to say that he might have some developmental disability . But, don't give up hope,  try some easier cognitive ability tests with your toddler .How about filet mignon ? After he masters that, try the bacon wrap.

I think I saw a 6 year old working at Outback Steakhouse once.  I know what you're saying... it was probably just a midget.  But either way, I'd say he has to be at least 4' tall.  I don't think they have labor laws in Australia.

This is obvious. The child I made with my husband is a superior one, being the girl has mostly my genetics and very little of "Dawgs". Therefore we had her in front of the bbq. when she was just past the age of walking upright. She did very well with hamburger and hot dogs to start. By the time she was out of short pants we had her worked up to steak. You need to start them early Dave. She's a great little girl. She brings my husband his beer in a frosted mug and my wine, since I've just taught her how to open bottles with corks.

Hey, you have been holding your child back.  At the age of 3 he should be able to grill a killer steak, make  Ceasar salad, and bananas foster for a meal.  I would consider special schooling for him...
