  1. There is no real answer to this question. It is up to you. I stopped with my 2yr old at 13 months. With my 3 month old, I'll probably go to 1 yr if I can. Some people go to 3-4 yrs old which I think is strange but hey, to each its own.  Ideally, at least 6 months is good to get the benefit of breast milk.

  2. 6 months.

  3. i think it should stop when mother and child are ready to stop. of course decrease it as you do with bottle feeding as the child eats more and i guess be done by 1 as that is the age you are supposed to do away with bottles. (mine got bottles until 14 months and were ready to give them up)

  4. when they go away to college, that's probably a good time.

  5. When mother and child are ready to stop.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends nursing for a minimun of one year, and the World Health Organization a mininum of two years.

  6. Depending on the child. I nursed my daughter exclusively for the first year of her life. By her first birthday she didn't want to be nursed anymore. She would push me away. So I stopped nursing her. It all depends on you and your child.

I wouldn't breast feed longer than a year. I think that is more than plenty of time to nurse a child. By the first year they have taken in all the nutrients they need to get them off to a good start. I think it's weird when you nurse older children.

  7. i think the furthest anyone should go is one. but i didnt go that long, and im not sure if i will this time either

  8. i think one but i'd never even go that far

  9. At the oldest I think 2.

I will stop breastfeeding my lil man at 1.

  10. 1 year old

  11. I am certainly no authority on this; but, in my youth (I'm 75) 18 months to 2 years was the accepted norm.
