I don't have kids but my best friend still showers with her son and he's 7... Is that weird, or is just me that thinks that?

  1. uh, yeah, i think it's a little weird.

I guess an appropriate age to NOT bathe with your child is when they are capable of bathing themselves (with supervision).

  2. 2 or 3  would be my cut off.

  3. wow that weird i would say four i mean its not that hard to take a shower

  4. I stopped when my son turned 3.

    He could shower himself.

  5. age 3 is when they should stop

  6. 4 or 5 is old enough.

I agree 7 is too old. Maybe at a public pool shower or something but not at home. Yikes.

  7. huh?

i figured once a kid was old enough to shower, then they were old enough to not be bathing with their parents.  that's kinda weird, but maybe it's  a cultural thing?

  8. When my children where two I made them stop and I let my five year old son take a shower by himself and I sit on the tolit seat out side of my daughter who is three when she takes a shower while I read and every once in a while check up on her.

  9. I think mine were about 4, when I stopped. I have a 10-year-old son, 9-year-old daughter, and a 16-month-old daughter... Obviously, I still shower with the littlest one, ONLY! :)

At 7, he's old enough to take showers by himself.

  10. That is very weird. Mine didn't shower with me much anyway, but I think 2 years old would be the age limit for me.

  11. 7 is definitely too old- parents should not bathe with their children when they are old enough to do it by themselves, and especially when they are old enough to recognize the differences between boys and girls.

  12. ya thats weird!!!!! when they start to point to private parts and ask "whats that?" then its time to stop.

thats what my parents did with me.

and by 7 they already know that stuff...  it needs to end

  13. I have a six year old son and I would not feel comfortable showering with him. Some people are more open and comfortable with things, I personally think bathing is a private thing and after he was about a year he was too old to take a shower with me.

  14. 5 or 6 I think

  15. uummm, yeah. that is too old. i am a pediatric nurse practitionerand i would consider that strange. i would say by three...early three, not almost four side. i have three kids of my own...my oldest is six and i dont even undress in front of her. it's one thing when they are little and don't understand, but seven is waaaaayyyyy to old in my opinion!!

  16. before he's old enough to tell other people that he showers with his mom. serious. about 4.
